IRONMAN Florida | TEAM IMF Behind The Scenes

IRONMAN Florida never fails to be an amazing experience for triathletes. With the beautiful Panama City Beach at your fingertips (literally, on race day), you can’t help but feel excited to race 140.6 miles in such a great town. Even more exciting was the fact that The IRONMAN Foundation had 16 athletes racing IRONMAN Florida. Not only did they race, though, they fundraised a cause that makes an impact beyond race day. With over $63,000 raised from these incredible athletes, organizations within IRONMAN race communities will receive grant funding to help run programs that make our world a better place. From the local Panama City Beach Police Department, to Girls Inc., to Panama City Beach Parks and Recreation, the impact of TEAM IMF athletes is felt far and wide.

In addition to these 16 TEAM IMF athletes, The IRONMAN Foundation had 220 (WOAH!) Foundation athletes that supported our mission through a donation made during their IMFL entry purchase. Because of them, over $88,000 was given back through grant funding to the local Panama City Beach Community. We can’t thank all of our Foundation Athletes enough for their incredible support and hard work. Read more on our 2016 IRONMAN Florida Giveback HERE!
