IRONMAN Foundation 2017 Service Project 3

lake-sonoma-and-bridgeIRONMAN FOUNDATION FLOOD RESTORATION PROJECT WITH U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS AND FRIENDS OF LAKE SONOMA

DATE: Sunday, May 14, 2017

TIME: 9AM – 12PM

LOCATION: Lake Sonoma

Our IRONMAN Foundation Service Project at IRONMAN 70.3 Santa Rosa is a flood restoration project in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Friends of Lake Sonoma. Due to the wet winter in California, and the high water levels at Lake Sonoma, many trails and camp sites were flooded. We will be working with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to identify locations where we can help restore the area, including some of the camp sites accessible only by boat.

Equipment, nutrition, hydration and lunch will be provided.

This project is part of the TriClubs in Service Initiative and volunteer spots are extremely limited.
