TriClubs in Service

TriClub_FB_V2At select IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events, the IRONMAN Foundation and IRONMAN TriClub Program are partnering to create positive tangible impact through service projects in our local race communities.

Each service project benefits local nonprofit partner organizations, powerfully linking our athletes to the local community and leaving the IRONMAN legacy behind long after race day.

HOW IT WORKS

-There are eight service projects in 2017:
-IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside on April 2. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN Texas on April 19. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN 70.3 Santa Rosa on May 14. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN Boulder on June 8. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN Lake Placid on July 20-22. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship (Chattanooga) on Sept. 6. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN World Championship (Kona) on Oct. 9. Click HERE for details.
-IRONMAN Arizona on Nov. 16. Click HERE for details.

-Each project will provide volunteers with a special opportunity to impact the community, such as providing support for an adaptive surf clinic for children, teaching hands-on CPR with first responders and rebuilding homes for at-risk families. Check back here for full project descriptions.

-IRONMAN TriClubs with 10+ athletes at these races will be invited to apply to participate.

-In the application, each TriClub commits to earning the Gold, Silver or Bronze Medal of Service and each will be guaranteed volunteer spots on project day.

-GOLD: TriClubs that raise $10,000+ in support of the project
-SILVER: TriClubs that raise $5,000-$9,999 in support of the project
-BRONZE: TriClubs that raise $500-$4,999 in support of the project.

If selected, the TriClubs will
-Be set up with fundraising pages on CrowdRise.

-Receive detailed information on the project, the partner organization(s) and the change they will be helping to create.

-Receive IMF fundraising tools and support. The fundraising deadline is Monday before race day and the contribution is a SURPRISE for the partner organization(s) on project day.

-Be provided with the number of volunteers they may bring and the link to register those volunteers by the deadline.

-Receive their official Gold, Silver or Bronze TriClub Medal of Service badge following the event for their website and social media channels.

At each race, the TriClub that raises the most support for the service project receives
-Inclusion in an article on IRONMAN.com and IRONMANFOUNDATION.org
-Race week announcement
-The opportunity for the TriClub President to speak at one (1) Athlete Meeting

Grand Prize: The TriClub that raises the most through this program in 2017 will receive
-A pre-race breakfast for their TriClub at the 2018 IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 event of their choice.
-Two (2) tickets to the IRONMAN Foundation’s Kona Premiere screening party in New York City.

OUR GOAL

Through the power and generosity of our IRONMAN TriClub community, elevate the IRONMAN journey by making a direct and lasting impact in our IRONMAN race communities.
