OPERATION IRONAID FACE MASKS

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

Overview

We recognize that the immediate needs of communities will be different than those that will emerge in the months ahead. With a shortage of protective masks throughout the world, the IRONMAN Foundation has established Operation IRONAID Face Masks in partnership with Framebridge and Good360, a program that repurposes new race shirts into non-sterile face masks.

Masks will be provided to help keep at-risk individuals safe.

  • With a shortage of protective masks throughout the world, fabric face masks are a CDC crisis response option.
  • New, unused race shirts are some of the items that can be used to make face masks.
  • Framebridge makes it easy and affordable to custom frame everything you love. In 2020, they transformed their manufacturing facility in Lexington, KY from making frames to produce non-sterile face masks and personal protective equipment (PPE) for those on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis. Learn more about them at framebridge.com.
  • Face masks will be provided to community hospitals, first responder groups, and other organizations that serve IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3 and Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series within the continental United States.
  • Organizations that will be considered for grant funds include:
    • Community hospitals
    • First responder groups
    • Organizations serving at-risk communities
  • Due to high demand, mask requests are limited to 2,000 masks
  • Face masks must be used to serve IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3, or Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series event communities within the continental United States
