The IRONMAN Foundation Community Fund provides athletes with the opportunity to register for IRONMAN events with a charitable giveback component as part of their registration.
Approximately 50% of a Community Fund entry fee is a tax-deductible donation to the IRONMAN Foundation.
Community Fund entries help to support and fuel our giveback in our race communities around the world.

To enhance the well-being of those in the communities where IRONMAN and Rock 'n' Roll Running Series events are held, the IRONMAN Foundation provides charitable support to a variety of local nonprofit organizations that recognize citizens in need and support the IRONMAN Foundation’s mission.

Your Community Fund entry supports the overall giveback across our race communities. In 2021, $2 million was distributed to over 1,500 organizations, which is largely thanks to Community Fund Athletes!

At select races, Community Fund entries are available to any athlete looking to create positive, tangible change in their race communities. Entries are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Early access to schedule your Athlete Check-In during race week
  • A special gold IRONMAN Foundation swim cap to wear during the race
  • A portion of your entry is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law
  • Invitations to special IRONMAN Foundation events and service projects
  • The opportunity to give back to your race communities

As a Community Fund Entry Athlete, once you purchase your entry on the race-specific website, you’re making a positive impact! We invite you to join us at our service projects for a hands-on experience in creating real change in our race communities.

The IRONMAN Foundation Community Fund Entries are available for a one-time purchase of $600-900 USD for an IRONMAN 70.3 event and $1,400-$1,800 USD for an IRONMAN event. Generally, 35-50% is a charitable donation to the IRONMAN Foundation with the proceeds benefiting nonprofit initiatives within our race communities. The donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

The IRONMAN Foundation’s Community Fund directly benefits the race communities where events are held by providing charitable support to a variety of local nonprofit organizations.

Since 2003, over $55,000,000 has been provided through IRONMAN charitable giveback programs including the IRONMAN Foundation to more than 10,000 local, regional, national and global nonprofit initiatives!
