The IRONMAN Foundation creates positive change in race communities by engaging athletes and volunteers to participate in programs that demonstrate service through sport and commitment to the communities where we live, train and race. Since 2003, over $55 million has been provided through giveback programs led by the IRONMAN Foundation to more than 10,000 local, regional, national, and global nonprofit initiatives. Through these partnerships, IRONMAN, Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series, and UTMB participants are powerfully linked to the community and together help leave a positive legacy behind on race communities long after race day.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We champion diversity advocacy efforts that proactively remove participation barriers, to welcome more diverse individuals to endurance sports no matter their race, gender, physical or mental abilities, socioeconomic status, and more.  We provide scholarships, as well as, grants and support to organizations and programs aimed at identifying and removing these barriers that impact diverse athlete groups.

First Responders & Military

We seek to support and honor those who serve and protect our athletes, staff, and others in the communities where we live, train, and race. We provide grants and support to organizations that support our nation's service members, veterans, and their families.

Health & Wellness

As a partner of the largest endurance sport organization in the world, The IRONMAN Group, we believe in the importance of excellent health and wellness, especially among our youth.  We provide grants and support to organizations that provide opportunities for community members to engage in active and healthy lifestyles.

At the Athlete Welcome Ceremony, The IRONMAN Foundation presented checks to: Downside Up, Friends of The Outdoor Chattanooga, and various IRONMAN Chattanooga Volunteer Groups. TEAM IMF Athlete & IRONMAN Chattanooga Top Fundraiser, Erica Maynard-Uliasz, helped to present the grant awards!

Volunteerism & Community Grants

Since the IRONMAN Foundation's inception in 2003, we have provided over $55 million in partnership with The IRONMAN Group, to over 10,000 charitable organizations in our race communities around the world. Much of this support has been distributed through our grant programs including Volunteerism and Community Grants.
