Volunteer Appreciation Program

Overview

It takes thousands of volunteers to bring IRONMAN and Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series athletes across the finish line every year.

The Volunteer Appreciation Program is a way for IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3 and Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series athletes to say THANK YOU to a volunteer who makes a positive and lasting impact on their race experience.

Athletes receive a red IRONMAN Foundation or Rock This Town wristband at Athlete Check-In and are instructed to provide the wristband to a volunteer who exemplifies our mantra of “Service Through Sport, Commitment to Community.”

Whether it’s a volunteer who answers questions during check-in, helps you check your gear, or a volunteer who greets you at the finish line with your medal and a huge congratulatory smile, the wristband is a simple way to say thanks!
Volunteers are encouraged to collect as many wristbands as possible and share their wristband photos with their Volunteer Director, as well as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using #IMFVolunteer and #RTTVolunteer.
