HEALTH & WELLNESS

As a partner of the largest endurance sports organization in the world, The IRONMAN Group, the IRONMAN Foundation believes in the importance of excellent health and wellness, especially among our youth. We provide grants and support to organizations that provide opportunities for community members to engage in active and healthy lifestyles.

Bikes For Kids

At select IRONMAN events, we invite athletes, as well as their families and friends, to visit the IRONMAN Foundation in IRONMAN Village to assemble bikes for local kids in need, inspiring them to exercise and live a healthy lifestyle.

As part of race weekend, the IRONMAN Foundation will deliver the bikes to kids in partnership with a local nonprofit organization, powerfully linking our athletes to the local community and leaving the IRONMAN legacy behind long after race day.

Youth Swim Clinics

"The coaches were very encouraging and I had never done a clinic before!! It was a blast and the volunteers were really community oriented!" - Nadeau, Washington, DC

The IRONMAN Foundation believes swimming is an important life skill that should be accessible to all. Since 2021, the IRONMAN Foundation has provided over 2,000 swim lessons to individuals in IRONMAN and Rock 'n' Roll Running Series race communities through its Race For Change Swim Clinics and grant funding.

Join the IRONMAN Foundation and HOKA by volunteering at a Race For Change Swim Clinic, to help teach community members basic swimming and swim safety skills.

Kahiau Together

As the COVID-19 pandemic roared on in 2020, the impact on the Island of Hawai`i became clear as hotels closed, restaurants and shops were shuttered, and the very volunteers who help make the iconic IRONMAN World Championship happen became one of the hardest hit. Together, the IRONMAN Foundation and the local IRONMAN Hawai`i team took action, creating Kahiau Together, an aid station and drive-through food distribution effort to feed as many members of the community as possible.

A total of 25 food distribution drive-through events took place throughout 2020 and 2021. The IRONMAN Foundation supported local fishermen, farmers, and ranchers by purchasing their products and then distributing these items in food bundles, providing over 130,000 meals to local community members.
