Behind The Scenes At IRONMAN Texas
The 2015 IRONMAN Texas race is in the books and it was a hot and humid one! The race may be over but the impact from IRONMAN Foundation Athletes is still going strong! This year, IRONMAN Foundation athletes gave back over $120,000 in grant funding to local nonprofit groups surrounding the course at IRONMAN Texas!
- 170 triathletes supported The IRONMAN Foundation as part of their IRONMAN Texas race last Saturday.
- Out of the 170, 130 amazing triathletes purchased a community fund entry that provided a donation to The IRONMAN Foundation as part of their registration process.
- The remaining 40 triathletes supported The IRONMAN Foundation by committing to a fundraising goal as part of their IRONMAN Texas journey.
Thank you to all the Foundation Athletes that continue to support the community behind the course!

A BIG Thank You to 5-Time IRONMAN Champion Jordan Rapp and The Woodlands resident, Betty for speaking to our TEAM IMF triathletes. Jordan provided the inside scoop on the IRONMAN Texas race course and shared how he uses the sport of triathlon to provide philanthropic support to charitable organizations like World Bicycle Relief & The IRONMAN Foundation. Betty is part of the Meals On Wheels, Montgomery County program that provides nutritious meals to seniors in need. Meeting Betty and hearing her story really connected the triathlete’s fundraising efforts to the mission.
