TEAM IMF | IRONMAN Maryland Behind The Scenes

Despite the challenges presented to IRONMAN Maryland athletes this year, they “weathered the storm” and displayed true IRONMAN grit, even in the midst of a tough day. With a cancelled swim, TEAM IMF Athletes rolled out onto the bike course as the first athletes in line. Throughout the rest of race day, TEAM IMF athletes had smiles on their faces, for even though the day may not have gone as planned, their positive impact on the IRONMAN Maryland Community would last far beyond race day.

With 12 Athletes raising almost $40,000, these guys have truly become role models for triathletes around the globe. Dedicating their races to giving back to IRONMAN Communities, and racing for a cause greater than themselves, has made their race day about so much more than crossing that finish line! The IRONMAN Foundation had the honor of presenting a grant check to Maryland’s very own: Harriet Tubman & Annie Oakley, at the Athlete Welcome Ceremony!
