IRONMAN Foundation Ambassador Team Resources
Thank you for making the decision to #RaceForMore. Your fundrasing efforts are creating positive, tangible change in our race communities and we couldn't be more grateful.
Below are some resources for you to utilize throughout your fundraising journey.
What is The IRONAID 140.6?
Who does this challenge support?
What are the Fundraising Zones?
We’re excited to announce a new TEAM IMF/Ambassador Team Challenge for The IRONAID 140.6! (It involves an IMF hoodie!)
Here’s how it works:
- Starting today, TEAM IMF Athletes and Ambassadors can set up a Team on DonorDrive following the instructions HERE.
- Once your team is set up, you can start recruiting team members using your team link.
- Your team members will create a DonorDrive page using that link. They will have their own page, but it will be under one team.
- All of the individuals you recruit are eligible for the Zone 1-4 fundraising prizes.
- If your team, including you, raises $1406 between Sept. 1 and Sept. 30 you’ll receive the limited edition IMF hoodie!
- On Oct. 1 all funds raised through the team will be transferred to the team captain’s TEAM IMF DonorDrive page.
- As a bonus, your team can lead a group ride in the TRANSITION Zone using the sign up sheet located in the TEAM IMF Facebook group HERE.
If you run into any trouble creating your team, please reach out to Brent (brent.hawley@ironman.com) or Ragan (ragan.duax@ironman.com).
If you decide to participate in The IRONAID 140.6 Challenge during the month of September, we recommend updating the content on your DonorDrive page to the below and feel free to use the logos as well:
Thank you for supporting me as I participate in the 30-day IRONMAN VR Challenge! Athletes are dedicating a cumulative 140.6 run/bike miles while raising money for the IRONMAN Foundation’s IRONAID COVID-19 Support Fund.
IRONAID, a program of the IRONMAN Foundation, engages athletes in the healthcare industry who race IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 events. The purpose of the program is to raise funds and awareness for health-related causes.
In 2020, the IRONAID program will expand to specifically focus on serving our communities in the wake of COVID-19.
This year, all athletes will have the opportunity to support IRONAID, including Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series® participants through Rock This Town®, a program of the IRONMAN Foundation and the charitable program for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series.
In times of need, dollars are the most helpful way to show support. IRONAID funds will be available for grant applications by health-related nonprofit organizations around the world. Organizations who fit the criteria are invited to apply for funding.
Potential projects include:
- Providing personal, protective equipment (PPE) and for supplies such as ventilators, CT/x-ray machines, etc.
- Supporting programs in the areas of housing/homelessness, healthcare, nutrition/food support, mental health, domestic violence, care for seniors, etc.
- Finding ways to support quarantined individuals.
- Funding organizations that are working in areas with poor access to regular medical services.
- Supporting groups that are focused on WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene).
- Supporting the research into SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19.

DonorDrive teamed up with Facebook to provide a seamless experience for participants as they fundraise through Facebook Fundraisers. Facebook Fundraising is a great way to get your fundraising efforts in front of your closest friends and family. On average, a Facebook Fundraiser campaign raises $150 or more.
TEAM IMF Athletes have to opportunity to create a Facebook Fundraiser during any point of their fundraising journey through their DonorDrive account. Every donation you receive on DonorDrive will sync to your Facebook Fundraiser, and every donation you receive on Facebook will sync back to your DonorDrive page.
*Please note, Facebook Fundraisers MUST be created directly through your DonorDrive profile. If you create a Facebook Fundraiser through Facebook, your donations will not sync with your DonorDrive account and we have no way to credit them back to you.
